Alongside our passion for building oak structures we’re equally eager to ensure that our structures look good. Building in traditional materials demands that we adopt appropriate designs and details.

We are therefore very careful how our designs work with surrounding architecture, adopting where possible local styles and construction methods. Where our work links with existing buildings, our aim is to enhance the union of the two, our expert designers ensure you get the best. Design is crucial in everything we do, be it structural calculations or aesthetic detailing, you can rely on us giving you expert advice.

With a full time architectural technician in the team, we're always able to visualise concepts for you, either in the form of sketches or digital walk-throughs and if you would like to use our architectural service, that can also extend to working drawings and plans for submission to local authority planning departments. 

Our designs have covered everything from complete house framing to simple outbuildings, from cladding, floors and fixtures to porches, even simple replacement beams in listed buildings - nearly every one of our projects is unique. Because oak structures can need that extra bit of care to ensure they integrate with other building processes involved, we can provide a complete project management/main contractor package that will ensure everything runs smoothly, on time and on budget.

We refer to this service as our "turn key service". This gives you one point of contact for every aspect of your proposed build including the initial design and planning work right through to the colour choice of your walls. When the project is complete we simply hand over your new keys!
